How do keratin treatments and extensions begin?
Both begin with a consultation, and the consultation deposit is $100. That one-on-one time lets your stylist study your hair, talk through the result you want, and give you the complete price and care plan before you commit to the full service. It also lets us order exactly the right hair or product for you, so nothing about your appointment is improvised.
What are Great Lengths extensions?
Great Lengths is the extension line we carry and trust: 100% natural human hair, matched to your color and texture and applied strand by strand for length and fullness that move like your own hair. Co-owner Amy De La Pena is our extensions specialist, with more than 25 years of experience crafting looks from cuts to color to Great Lengths. Your consultation covers the length, the amount, and the honest total cost.
Can you straighten or smooth very curly hair?
Smoothing is one of our specialties. Keratin treatments calm frizz and make textured hair easier to live with in the Florida humidity, and co-owner Dixys Rodriguez is known for Japanese straightening, a specialty she has built her downtown reputation on over nearly three decades. At your consultation we will talk through which approach suits your hair and the result you want, including how straight you want to go.
How do I take care of extensions and keratin at home?
Your stylist will send you home with a simple care routine built around the professional lines we carry in the salon, including Moroccanoil, Pureology, and It’s a 10. The basics are gentle brushing, the right shampoo for treated hair, and keeping heat styling kind. Because we stock what we recommend, you can leave with exactly what your hair needs, and we are a phone call away if a question comes up between visits.
